Flame of II European Games visits Orsha Flax Factory

The Flame of Peace completes its journey through the northern region of Belarus. Today the fire of the II European Games is in Orsha.

The Flame of Peace has already visited the largest textile enterprise in Europe, the Orsha Flax Factory. Today's length of  torchbearers’ route is two thousand meters. The textile workers of the flax factory have their own arithmetic: over the years of work, they have produced so many meters of fabric that it is enough to wrap the Earth at the equator 85 times! Records are expected from our athletes as well.

All the residents of Orsha can become involved in the upcoming sports festival: a relay race is about to start in the city. The starting point is the scene near the Jesuit College. The Flame of Peace will be carried along Lenin Street. The procession will end near the Ice Palace.
