IOC allows entry of infants, whose mothers take part in Olympics

The International Olympic Committee announced that nursing mothers will now be allowed to bring their babies to Tokyo for the Olympics. The decision came after Canadian basketball player Kim Gaucher posted an emotional plea via Instagram for her 3-month-old daughter Sophie to go to the Games with her. Otherwise, she would be faced with a choice: either the baby or the Olympics. Earlier, the IOC set the rule that no family can go to Tokyo because of the restrictions related to COVID-19.
