Belarusian sambo wrestlers successfully start the new season at the home International Tournament for the Prizes of the President of Belarus. The competition has managed to become traditional and was held for the 28th time. Among the participants there are about 200 athletes from ten countries. Apart from Belarusians, the teams of Armenia, Bulgaria, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan fought for awards. Our leaders confirmed their high status. The hosts took 33 awards, 8 of which were of the highest standard.
In the current season our sambo wrestlers will perform at 4 major starts. The coaching staff singles out the BRICS Games among them. Also on the calendar are the Friendship Games, the World Championship and the Continental Championship.
