Lukashenko signs decree on preparation and holding of II CIS Games in Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree №134 "On the preparation and holding of the II CIS Games in 2023" on May 13. This is reported by BELTA with reference to the press service of the head of state.

The competitions will be held from August 5 to 13 in 11 cities in Belarus in 20 kinds of sports. The decree establishes a number of preferences and benefits for participants of the Games and volunteers. They include a visa-free entry to Belarus, exemption from the need to register in the country, free travel by public transport, exemption from income tax on the cost of free meals, accommodation, logistics, transport and other services.

In order to stimulate the attraction of non-budgetary funds, the sponsors of the Games are allowed to include the amounts of aid in their non-operating expenses.

The measures provided for by the Decree will allow to ensure the high quality preparation and holding of competitions, to optimize the spending of budgetary and raised funds.
