Igor Boki becomes eight-time Paralympic champion

Belarusian Paralympic swimmer Igor Boki came in first in the final 400 m freestyle – S13 with a result of 3 min 55.62 sec, breaking the record he set 4 years ago at the Paralympic Games in London. Silver went to Ukrainian Yaroslav Denisenko and bronze to Dmitry Khorlin of Uzbekistan.

The 22-year-old Belarusian has won already 10 Paralympic medals. Boki scored 5 gold and 1 silver medal at the London Paralympics and 3 gold and 1 bronze medal in Rio de Janeiro. Due to this success, Belarus has gone up to number 22 in the medal standings.
