After taking Olympic gold in the pursuit race, Domracheva won the individual race for 15 kilometers. Darya's team mate Nadezhda Skardino became bronze medalist due to her flawless shooting. Domracheva showed incredible speed at the distance and made only one unfortunate mistake at the second shooting range. However, it did not prevent the world best biathlete from winning her second gold medal of the 23rd Winter Olympics. The Olympic Games in Sochi can already be called the most successful in the history of independent Belarus.
With three awards - two gold and a bronze one - the Olympic team ofBelarusoccupies 10th place in the medal standings.
