On November 18 in Khanty-Mansiysk a new tournament - the International League of Club Biathlon will begin
The first stage of the tournament will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk and will start this Saturday. In case of victory, athletes will be able to replenish their account with a solid million Russian rubles - a little more than 34 thousand Belarusian rubles, while the prize for silver medal - 500 thousand Russian rubles, the prize for third place - 250 thousand Russian rubles.
It should be noted that the leading biathletes of Russia and Belarus will compete here: among them is the silver medalist of the Beijing Olympics, five-time medalist of the World Cup stages Anton Smolsky, world and European champion Russian Anton Babikov and three-time medalist of the Olympic Games - thirteen-time medalist of the World Cup stages Eduard Latypov.
Silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Beijing Anton Smolsky in an exclusive interview to the TV News Agency noted that the IBU wrote letters to the Chinese Biathlon Federation, hinting that in case of participation of their teams in the International League of Club Biathlon sanctions will be imposed on the Chinese national team.
