7 февраля 2018

Little time remains until the start of the main Games of the four year period. The breath of the approaching Olympiad is already very much felt. The struggle is tense.

Today the national flag of our country was raised at 9 am, Belarusian time, in the Olympic Village, where our delegation lives. The ceremony was attended by the mayor of the village of Seun, the chief of mission Alexander Baraulya, the Ambassador of Belarus to South Korea Andrei Popkov, as well as our athletes and coaches.

The flag-raising ceremony is one of the oldest traditions at the Olympic Games. It means that athletes are ready to compete for medals and precedes the opening ceremony of the Games themselves to be held in Pyeongchang on Friday, February. The live broadcast at 13:55 will be run by TV channel Belarus 1.
