Belarusian basketball players went to the European Championships in division B extremely motivated, and the starting failure with the Czechs only spurred the team. This opinion was shared by head coach Olga Podobed. For the first time in 4 years the Belarusians made their way to Division A and became the second in the tournament, losing in the final to the Czech national team.
This week basketball players under 17 will perform at the home world championship. In the group stage, the Belarusians have to play against the teams of France, Japan and Colombia.
