Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka reaches Australian Open final for the first time

Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka made it to the finals of the Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open, for the first time, as BelTA reports.

On January 26, in the second semi-final match of the Australian Open the fifth-ranked tennis player beat Magda Linette (45th WTA ranking) of Poland - 7:6 (7-1), 6:2. In this game Aryna Sabalenka served six times and made two double faults on her serves. The match lasted 1 hour and 33 minutes.

In the Australian Open decisive match Sabalenka will play versus the Wimbledon-2022 champion from Kazakhstan, Elena Rybakina (25), who defeated the two-time Australian Open winner Victoria Azarenka (24) 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 in the first semi-final. Azarenka won the Australian Open in 2012 and 2013.
