Ekaterina Netsvetaeva and Yana Maximova took the 12th and 23rd places respectively in the 100 m hurdles race. Alexander Ashomko will try to make it to the javelin throw finals in the evening competitive program. Marina Arzamasova will take part in the 800 m run semi-final. Tatiana Kholodovich reached the women's javelin throw finals; Dmitry Plotnitsky advanced to the men's triple jump finals.
