The President of Belarus has given his instructions to restore the effective work of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant. The main problems here today are extremely high debt load, the lack of imported spare parts and the investor's failure to fulfill the obligations. Hence, the plant is facing the issues of low salaries, non-rhythmic work on orders and a difficult financial situation.

The President also received a report on the implementation of a major private investment project for the construction of an industrial and logistics center in Bolbasovo. The deadline is 2023 and the project means to bring together the existing railway junction in Orsha, two international auto-corridors West-East and North-South, and also to connect the take-off strip of the Aircraft Repair Plant. Alexander Lukashenko set a task to make it possible for the hub to take any aircraft by late autumn.

The President drew attention to the village of Bolbasovo, where the Aircraft Repair Plant is located. The President set a tough task to complete the modernization by 7 November. Alexander Lukashenko promised to personally come to Bolbasovo in autumn to assess the job done.
