President of Belarus to visit Turkey today

In Ankara, Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks with Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Special attention will be paid to ensure balanced trade and investment partnerships. Following the results of the negotiations, a package of international documents is expected to be signed. On the same day, a meeting of the business circles of the two countries will be held in Ankara.

The meeting of the leaders of Belarus and Turkey will take place this afternoon and according to the plan it will be a real negotiation marathon. The task of Minsk and Ankara is to reach a new, even more intensive level of partnership.

Alexander Lukashenko gave an interview to Anadolu, the major news agency of this country. Minsk and Ankara actively develop cooperation in various areas. The summit talks will be an opportunity to discuss joint projects and the development of trade between the countries.

During the visit, it is planned to sign a package of documents in order to improve the legal framework of cooperation. The discussion will certainly focus on the strengthening of ties in the context of Eurasian integration, in which Turkey is becoming increasingly interested. The countries are developing joint ventures. An example of this is the construction of a factory in the suburb of Ankara, where our tractors will be assembled. The project is being implemented together with Azerbaijani partners by Ganja Automobile Plant. This is a new green project of MTZ.

Belarus and Turkey are confidently moving from ordinary trade to investment and industrial cooperation. About 300 enterprises with Turkish capital work in our country. However, Belarus intends to create even more comfortable conditions for Turkish investors and business.
