President of Belarus make staff appointments in KGB and Ministry of Internal Affairs

3 people received high positions in the KGB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs today. Each of them personally talked with the Head of the State face to face.

The President appointed Sergei Terebov as the First Deputy Chairman of the KGB of Belarus. Terebov headed the department in Gomel Region before that. Alexander Melnikov will hold his post from now on. Gennady Kazakevich became the first deputy minister of the internal affairs, the head of the criminal police. He is known as a specialist in drug control and anti-trafficking. The participants noted that work both in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the KGB is being improved every year, as well as the challenges that they face. The key areas remain the same: the fight against corruption, crime and ensuring national security.
