Belarus President holds meeting with heads of CIS mass media

On the eve of the large summit of the Heads of CIS countries, the President of Belarus held a serious and honest meeting with the heads of CIS mass media. Absolute priority was given to the issues of integration, as well as the upcoming summits. The dialogue was open, and Alexander Lukashenko stressed once again that he doesn't have any forbidden grounds for discussion.

Sergei Khamentovsky reports: Today's meeting took place on the eve of the CIS Summit which will become the key event within the framework of the chairmanship of Belarus in CIS. It gathered the heads of the largest mass media of CIS in the Oval Hall of the National Library. The President of Belarus is sure that it is necessary to preserve and develop the Commonwealth of Independent States which became the cradle of all integration processes at the post-Soviet space. Alexander Lukashenko appealed for creating a unified economy without exemptions and limitations. The President also offered Russia to work on the union of MAZ-KAMAZ, but without exchanging property for now.

The meeting lasted for a total of 3 hours and concerned the issues of CIS, Customs Union and the future Eurasian Union.
