President of Belarus receives credentials from ambassadors of 12 countries

Belarus is a European state that values ​​its sovereignty and consistently implements peaceful multi-vector foreign policy, without making a choice between East and West. This was noted today by President Alexander Lukashenko at the ceremony of presenting credentials, which was held in the Palace of Independence.

In Belarus there are 12 new ambassadors. They came from Russia, India, Hungary, Sudan. Some diplomats will represent their country's interests in our country concurrently. They are the ambassadors of Mexico, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jordan, Iraq, Portugal, Saudi Arabia and Panama. Our state strives to build equal political and mutually beneficial economic relations with all partners without exception, the President stressed.

The work of diplomats in Belarus begins officially today after the ceremony of presenting credentials. It is from this symbolic moment that the ambassador's mission starts. Contribution to the development of bilateral relations is expected from each diplomat. Belarus is ready to further intensify cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Great potential is seen for building up interaction with Portugal. There are good opportunities for deepening economic contacts with Iraq and Jordan. The accumulated potential with Argentina needs to be channeled. Prospective projects have already been identified with India and there are agreements at the highest level. It is time to raise the level of bilateral contacts with Hungary. It is expected that the new ambassador of our strategic ally, Russia, will do everything to give a new impetus to relations in all spheres.

After the ceremony, a meeting was held with the new ambassadors. The President exchanged greetings with each diplomat. This is another opportunity to focus on bilateral cooperation.
