President of Belarus arrives in Russia on working visit

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has arrived on a working visit to the Russian Federation, BELTA reports.

The first cosmonaut in the history of sovereign Belarus, Marina Vasilevskaya, who was awarded the title of Hero of Belarus, also traveled to Moscow on board the presidential flight.

In the evening of April 11, Alexander Lukashenko will have a one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. The heads of state will discuss the development of cooperation between the two countries in various areas, as well as issues that require consideration at the highest level. The talks will also focus on the regional and international situation, coordination of actions to respond to existing challenges and threats.

On April 12, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin are planning to hold a joint event on the occasion of the Day of Cosmonautics. The heads of state will summarize the results of the mission to the ISS, where the crew of the Union State worked for the first time in history. The presidents will talk to the cosmonauts and discuss further prospects for cooperation in the space sector
