President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants and guests of the high-level international conference "Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World". This is reported by BelTA with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"I cordially welcome you to Belarus. A friendly and peaceful country. Today we are holding another open, constructive discussion on the topic of international security, which concerns literally every inhabitant of our planet. I am convinced that the conference in Minsk will become an expert platform where unbiased assessments of the current events will be given. But most importantly, the political leadership of Eurasian countries will be offered effective measures to counter modern challenges and threats," the greeting reads.
That is why such a format of interaction and communication is in high demand now more than ever and will always be relevant, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
"I believe that the difficult task of preventing wars and armed conflicts should be solved by people of goodwill in all countries and on all continents. After all, guarantees of tranquility and sustainable development are created by our efforts to maintain peace, resolve emerging differences through diplomatic means, reduce the level of confrontation, hostility and hatred."
