Lukashenko expresses hope for speedy meeting with President of Zimbabwe on hospitable Belarusian land

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa and the friendly people of this country on Independence Day. BelTA reports with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state noted that 44 years ago Zimbabwe threw off colonial shackles and gained the opportunity to independently pursue its own foreign and domestic policy aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the country and improving the quality of life of its citizens. "Belarus observes with satisfaction the successful dynamic changes in various sectors of Zimbabwe's economy," the congratulatory message reads.

The President drew attention to the important role of exchange visits at the highest level for strengthening bilateral contacts and expressed hope for a speedy meeting with Emmerson Mnangagwa on the hospitable Belarusian land.

"I am convinced that the practical implementation of the agreements reached earlier and the results of your future visit to Belarus will contribute to our strategic partnership and fruitful interaction focused on a long-term perspective," the Belarusian leader stressed.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Emmerson Mnangagwa good health and success, and the people of Zimbabwe happiness and well-being.
