President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he sees no grounds for the new world war in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko, BelTA reports.

The head of state noted that the events in Ukraine became a lesson and showed that it is impossible to allow military blocs to clash.

"Ukraine shows that this is a terrible thing. And the NATO war with Russia and Belarus would be a world war with the use of nuclear weapons. It won't just go around Ukraine. Therefore, it must be avoided. The West, I know for sure, does not want a nuclear war. Because no one will survive: Russia is the first country in terms of nuclear warheads, and the United States of America has about the same number. Everyone will be involved, it will be hot. That is why no one wants to die, everyone wants to live at least the way we live and hope for the best. Even now I see no grounds for this war to be possible," said Alexander Lukashenko.
