Lukashenko: The relationship between Belarus and the Order of Malta remains oriented to support each other and strive for Christian perfection

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta John Dunlap on St. John the Baptist Day. This is reported by BELTA with reference to the press service of the head of state.

This year marks the 975th anniversary of the founding of the Order of Malta, whose members have been faithful to themselves and their ideals for almost ten centuries, carrying the ideas of goodness, justice and help to the world. "These values are close to our people, they resonate in the hearts of people," said the Belarusian leader. - Despite external pressure and difficult circumstances, the Belarusians continue to believe in the best in man, doing everything possible to establish peace and tranquility, the victory of dialogue and mutual understanding.

"Belarus and the Order of Malta have actively cooperated in the past and successfully in the present and I am confident that they will continue to do so in the future. Respect, commitment to support each other and strive for Christian perfection remain unchanged in our relationship," added the head of state.

Alexander Lukashenko wished John Dunlap health and long life and prosperity to the Order of Malta.
