The upcoming elections in Belarus will be held honestly, not as in the United States. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said this at a meeting with Chairman of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko, BelTA informs.

The head of the state touched upon the issue of inviting observers to the upcoming elections in 2024. "The subjects, which invite observers, are defined by the law. We have nothing to hide. At the right time, when the time comes, when we deem it necessary, we will invite observers. So that they can see how the elections will be held. So we won't be reproached that we hold elections like in America over there. People are shot at after the elections, elections are held by mail and so on, and there are a lot of falsifications. It is already evident today. We have to hold these elections honestly," said the President.

Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that there is nothing to hide. "Today about 80% unequivocally support the course we have set. What do we have to be afraid of? Well, we will fight for the 20%, hesitating and opposed. This is what I say as President," said the head of state.
