Lukashenko: October Revolution opened new page in national history

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated his compatriots on October Revolution Day. This is reported by BelTA with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"More than a hundred years have passed since the events of the Great October Revolution, and its ideals are still relevant and significant. And today the vast majority of the world's population aspires to social justice, but many countries still face modern forms of exploitation and oppression, cultural expansion, economic sanctions and political blackmail," reads the congratulatory message. - Therefore, we cannot forget that the October Revolution opened a new page in the national history, serving as an impetus for the development of the Belarusian national statehood. Having overcome numerous trials in the difficult twentieth century, having unlocked the potential of creativity and creation, the Belarusians have taken a worthy place in the big family of the peoples of the world," the message of greetings runs.

The Head of State expressed confidence that knowing their past, defending the historical truth, respecting and multiplying the achievements of previous generations, Belarusians create a peaceful future for their children and grandchildren.

"May sincere love for the Motherland give you strength and energy, inspire you to new achievements in the name of beloved Belarus. From the bottom of my heart I wish you good health, optimism and prosperity," Alexander Lukashenko added.
