Lukashenko sends condolences to President of Brazil in connection with tragedy in Petropolis

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on behalf of the Belarusian people and on his own behalf expressed condolences to President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro in connection with the terrible natural disaster in the city of Petropolis in Rio de Janeiro, informs the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the news of the death of many people caused pain in the hearts of Belarusians. The President addressed words of support to relatives and friends of the victims, wished speedy recovery to the injured, as well as restoration of the destroyed infrastructure.

The Brazilian city of Petropolis was hit by floods, causing landslides. According to the official data, only about 150 people were killed. About 200 more are still missing.
