The new appointments concerned the scientific and construction spheres. Thus, the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences ofBelarusis now headed by Vladimir Gusakov. Alexander Shumilin was appointed as the Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology. Anatoly Cherny is now the Minister of Architecture and Construction. The Head of the State also set the seal on the appointment of Igor Popov as the Chief of Administration of the Grodno Region Executive Committee.
