Belarus counts to start world-class hi-tech production jointly with the Kursk Region of Russia. This was said today at the Independence Palace, where the President met with the delegation of the Russian region.

Kursk Region is one of the industrially developed regions of Russia. A decisive role in the local economy is played by ore mining and concentration, engineering, petrochemistry and agriculture. Kursk nuclear power plant is one of the largest in the country.

The official program of the visit of the delegation from Kursk Region began early in the morning on Victory Square. The guests, led by the governor, laid flowers to the monument, honoring the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
