Alexander Lukashenko meets with heads of CIS mass media

Today the President of Belarus held a serious and honest meeting with the heads of the CIS mass media which preceded the large summit of the Heads of CIS countries. The dialogue was open, and Alexander Lukashenko stressed once again that he doesn't have any forbidden grounds for discussion.

The President of Belarus is sure that it is necessary to preserve and develop the Commonwealth of Independent States as a unified ground for a dialogue and the elaboration of joint decisions. Today's meeting took place on the eve of the CIS Summit which will become the key event within the framework of the chairmanship of Belarus in CIS.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed his position on cooperation with CIS, the Customs Union and the creation of the Eurasian association. The Belarus President appealed for creating a unified economy without exemptions and limitations. The journalists were also interested in the issue of a single currency in the future Eurasian Economic Union. According to Alexander Lukashenko, such discussions are premature.
