The conversation lasted more than two hours. The whole range of Belarus—Russia relations was discussed, including the prospects of the Union State and cooperation in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex.

Issues on the international agenda were discussed as well. The challenging situation in the world requires a rapid response. According to the leader of the Communist Party, Belarus and Russia should strengthen all types of industrial relations. Also, Russia is interested in the experience of Belarus in the creation of agro-industrial centers.

Gennady Zyuganov, the Chairman of the Communist Party faction in the State Duma of Russia: "We need to maximize our efforts in order to develop the machine-building complex. Here, in Belarus, you produce combines that can compete internationally. Your product is much cheaper, and the quality, as shown by recent tests, is much better. It is a very promising model. Together with China, you have developed the electric motor. I believe that we need to cooperate here and think about how best to implement it. In this respect, the experience of cooperation between Belarus and the People's Republic of China, as well as our experience of cooperation with both Belarus and China, will come in handy."
