Alexander Lukashenko visits Military Academy

On the eve of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces, the President visited the Military Academy. The educational institution is among the largest universities in the country. Higher education and qualifications of military specialists are obtained here. Alexander Lukashenko was informed about how the training system was built, what constitutes the structure of the Academy itself and what goals are pursued in the process of training military personnel. The Head of State visited the cadets' classes and got acquainted with the tasks that the IT troop performs. It was created recently and is designed to develop system and application software in conjunction with units of the Military Academy and other scientific institutions and universities. It is planned that the most popular areas of activity for the new troop will be the development of application software in the areas of robotics, radar, radio navigation and electronic warfare, telecommunications and communications, automated control systems and computer modeling, software and information systems, and military logistics.

The President visited the Hall of Military History of Belarus, which appeared in the university almost two years ago. Its creation was timed to the 100th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the country. Speaking with cadets, students and teachers of the Academy, Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus would not back down from implementation of a peaceful foreign policy.
