As stated by President Alexander Lukashenko during today’s visiting to the Defence Ministry, Belarusian army must respond to present challenges and threats. Alexander Lukashenko discussed directions of the Armed Forces development in the modern environment with the command staff. The President reminded that the newly appointed Defence Minister had been given a task to prepare a concept of creating an adequate mobile army. According to the President, the task has been accomplished.
The Defence Minister presented directions of building Belarusian army for the coming years. Addressing the Armed Forces command staff, President Alexander Lukashenko stressed the need to be able to protect Belarus’ sovereignty without getting involved in a conflict.
