Today the working group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Latvian Republic met with the parliamentary group of the Seim of the Latvian Republic for Cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. The agenda included the issues of the expansion of the Belarusian-Latvian parliamentary cooperation and the development of trade and economic, cultural and educational cooperation.
As a result, the parties agreed on a tighter meeting schedule. Latvia is interested in further cooperation with Belarus. The next step is the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Latvia. The commodity turnover between Belarus and Latvia amounts to USD 3.4 billion.
