Volfovich: Belarus lies at crossroads of several powers’ interests

Belarus is situated in a region, which today has become a crossroads of interests of several powers, which means that the risks associated with maintaining independence in geopolitics and territorial integrity have increased manifold. This includes changes in the concept of national security, declared Secretary of State of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich. 

"The scientific and expert community is involved, so we took a balanced approach, from a scientific point of view, we studied the experience of the leading states in the world: the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom.  "We have thoroughly studied the experience of the post-Soviet space and the national security strategy of Russia," said Alexander Volfovich, Secretary of State of the Security Council of Belarus. But our document does not copy any of the documents of the neighboring countries. It incorporates all new provisions, changes in the world over 12 years, taking into account this situation. All provisions of the Constitution have been taken into account. The concept of  the national security cannot be detached from the Constitution.
