The first briefing for Belarusian journalists was held today by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia Dmitry Mezentsev. Yesterday, he handed over copies of credentials to Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. Dmitry Mezentsev has already begun his duties. In his work, he intends to be guided by the principles of openness, sincerity and attention to people.
The diplomat thanked the Minsk authorities for the help that they provided in organizing a large-scale holiday - the Day of Russia. Celebrations will be held in the Upper Town and at the Palace of Sports on June 8.
