This was stated today by Rapporteur on Belarus at the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy of PACE. Andrea Rigoni was present as an observer at the parliamentary elections.
Andrea Rigoni, rapporteur on Belarus of the Political Affairs Committee of PACE and democracy:
"Belarus is present in the Council of Europe, as well as representatives of the organization come to Belarus. The representatives of Belarus will be invited into a political commission to discuss the pressing issues on the agenda in the framework of one of the European Council."
Alexander Hessel, director of the Council of Europe Committee on Political Affairs believes that in the past five years, there was great progress in cooperation in various fields.
