"The Cat House" to appear in repertoire of Bolshoi Theater

Opera with a mark of zero plus will appear in the repertoire of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus this week. Play "The Cat House" based on the fairytale by Samuil Marshak is a debut for director Daria Pataturko and art director Yekaterina Shimanovich on the Bolshoi stage. The new production is a mix of puppet and music genres. The play involves 3 types of dolls at once. 

Olga Malinovskaya, soloist with the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus: "The great difficulty of this performance is that it combines both vocal and dramatic moments, where we have to talk, and in a few seconds we have to hear the note in the orchestra and sing. The premiere of the play will take place on March 14 and 15.
