Lukashenko's trip to Middle East and Southern Africa over

The trip of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the Middle East and Southern Africa is completed, BelTA informs.

The head of state was seen off at the airport in Abu Dhabi by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During his visit to the UAE, Alexander Lukashenko met with President of that country Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The leaders agreed to cooperate in more than a dozen areas: in trade, economic and investment cooperation. The emphasis was also placed on the humanitarian sphere. According to the agreements, a large delegation of experts will arrive in Belarus soon to work on specific issues in the identified areas of cooperation.

Prior to that, President Alexander Lukashenko paid a state visit to Zimbabwe in the south of Africa, where he had talks with the leader of that country, Emmerson Mnangagwa. A number of important bilateral agreements were signed, including on the results of the Belarusian-Zimbabwean business forum that took place in Harare. The heads of state took part in the ceremony of handing over Belarusian equipment to local farmers and launched the next stage of Zimbabwe's agricultural mechanization program. "Without Africa there can be no perspective in the world at all. Resources are here, people become more and more educated every year, the latest technologies come here. The world cannot develop without Africa," said the Belarusian leader. - There can be no planetary development without it. That is why all the strongest powers are here: the USA, China, Russia, Great Britain, the European Union and so on. The future is in Africa."

"You should know that there is such a country in the center of Europe, Belarus, which is always ready to back you up in any situation," said Alexander Lukashenko. - We will put the results of this visit on the scale of peace and progress."
