The reaction of the West to the elections in Belarus is similar to the old Sharp's manuals. This was stated by Chairman of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko at a press conference at the CEC Information Center, reports BelTA.
Igor Karpenko answered the question about the reaction of the U.S. State Department and the German Foreign Ministry to the elections in Belarus. "I thought that our CEC should react to their elections in the same way. We'll probably take it to heart. Without waiting for the results, some assessments of international experts, national observers, we will assess their elections. Let it be on their conscience, in fact," said Igor Karpenko.
The CEC Chairman emphasized: "We were guided by our Constitution and conducted all the electoral procedures in accordance with our Belarusian legislation. International observers will also give their assessment. By the way, representatives of the missions will speak here today.
