The countries signed an agreement to create an association 20 years ago. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the 20th anniversary of the joint development. Commitment to the unifying idea is of the utmost importance. The main task is to provide the necessary conditions for further improving the welfare of our citizens. "I am deeply convinced that we will be able to give a new impetus to the implementation of the Union Treaty, steadily following the principles of equality and trust,” the Belarusian leader emphasized. Vladimir Putin also sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of a significant date to our President.

"It is important that the positive experience gained in the framework of the Union State is actively used in the wider format of the Eurasian Economic Union,” the President of Russia noted. Vladimir Putin expressed confidence in joint efforts to ensure further promotion of mutually beneficial integration processes, bilateral cooperation in all areas.
