Belarus and Laos to create intergovernmental commission

This proposal was sounded today by the Belarusian PM at the meeting with the delegation of Laos. According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, this structure will be able to consider and resolve issues concerning the interaction between the countries on a regular basis. The Belarusian party has already prepared 11 draft agreements which shall become the base of the future joint initiatives. In his turn, the Deputy Prime Minister - Foreign Minister of Laos Thonglun Sisulit noted that the delegation headed by him arrived in Minsk to discuss a wide range of issues concerning bilateral cooperation, and expressed confidence that the parties can significantly advance in the development of trade and economic relations.


The perspective aspects of partnership have also been determined during the current visit of the Economy Minister of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov to Laos. They concern trade and economic, scientific and practical and humanitarian spheres. In order to specify the agreements reached earlier, the Belarusian intergovernmental delegation will head to Laos in the middle of June. In this regard, the PM asked Thonglun Sisulit to assist the Belarusian party in carrying out negotiations both at the governmental level and with the representatives of the business circles of Laos.
