Aleksander Lukashenko: Upcoming Parliamentary Elections should be held fairly and honestly

2 мая 2019

The upcoming parliamentary elections need to be held fairly and honestly. Active participation of trade unions is expected. This was discussed today at the meeting of Alexander Lukashenko with Mikhail Orda.

Belarusians have a serious electoral period ahead, and therefore trade unions have special tasks: from pre-election issues to the nomination of candidates from the best representatives of labor collectives.

Another important task of the trade unions is price monitoring.

Mikhail Orda told reporters that the President had ordered to hold a meeting in the near future in order to work out clear approaches to pricing.

The trade union movement of Belarus will celebrate its anniversary this year: 115 years.

Alexander Lukashenko is directly related to the trade unions (he headed the primary organization).  Therefore, the Federation presented an award to the President.
