To get rid of imported vaccines, to prepare for the XI Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus and, of course, to complete the harvesting season with discipline and results. The relevant issues of the development of Vitebsk Region are in the focus of attention of the President today. A meeting "on the north" was held at the Palace of Independence.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, there are "some positive developments. However, the grain yield is significantly lower than last year's, fodder procurement is also below the last year's level. The region received considerable state support three years ago. Now we are talking about the results.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
"A number of problems remain. Over a third of the area has not been harvested yet in Vitebsk Region. The grain yields are significantly lower than last year. The fodder harvest is also below the level of last year. We had to compensate for the shortfall in the crops of the dry areas with good crops in the western areas. Nevertheless, I would like to hear the results of the harvesting campaign from the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, because the harvesting of bread is not over yet, as well the harvesting of potatoes, corn and many other crops."
Harvesting corn means another 2 million tons of grain. The President instructed the new Minister of Agriculture to see to it. Preparations for the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia were discussed separately.
