Porechye simplified crossing point saw the 3rd final stage of comprehensive operational and tactical exercise of Grodno Border Guard Group. The participants practiced localization of a conflict situation at the checkpoint. According to the maneuvers plan, a dog finds explosives in one of the cars. The car tries to break through the border. But the border patrol stops the car, after which the driver, armed with a pistol, takes a hostage and makes demands. Against this backdrop, other drivers also put up provocations. In this stage, along with border guards, representatives of the Interior Ministry, KGB and the Ministry of Emergency Situations were also involved.
The tactical exercises of Grodno Border Guard Group started on August 3. During this time, the units organized reinforcement of border sections, and worked out a scenario of breaking through the borders and blocking sabotage groups. The exercise was rated excellent by the leadership.
