Flowers laid at Eternal Fire on Glory Square in Mogilev

By Andrei Yastrebov: Today, Mogilev congratulates everyone on the holiday. In Mogilev, there is no park or concert venue, where people's festivities would not unfold at these moments.

All the attention is paid today to the veterans of war. To honour them, a parade of military equipment and a festive march were held, words of gratitude were said, and flowers were laid at the Eternal Fire on Glory Square. Today, Mogilev joined the Belarus Remembers campaign. The grandchildren and great-grandsons of heroes came here with photos of relatives who died for the liberation of the country.

The center of the holiday in the city was Glory Square, where the names of war heroes and those who restored Mogilev in the post-war years were once again remembered. Flowers at the foot of the obelisk were laid by veterans, regional leaders, labour collectives, and youth organizations.

At the moment, the holiday is going on. A real soldier's camp site unfolded in the Pechersk Forest Park. War songs are sung to the sounds of the accordion. And, of course, everyone can treat themselves to soldiers' porridge.
