Opening ceremony of WorldSkills Belarus competition to be held in Minsk

The opening ceremony of the competition of professional skills will be held in Minsk today. The main days of the competition will be May 22 and 23. More than three hundred people will compete in 37 competencies. Among them are mobile robotics, fashion technology, carpentry, restaurant service.

Vadim Bogush, First Deputy Minister of Education of Belarus:

"This is an absolutely open event, there is an opportunity to communicate with experts, there is an opportunity for enterprises to see the skills of young professionals, to present their technological developments. There are also opportunities for students to come and see what modern professions are, what level of skill they will be able to acquire."

The results of the competition will be announced on Thursday. The winners will represent Belarus at the WorldSkills world championship in Kazan next year.
