Meeting of CIS Council of Foreign Ministers held in Minsk

The parties focus on creation and development, on exchange of views on topical issues and an effective platform for negotiations. A meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers was held in Minsk. The officials touched upon a wide range of international and regional topics with a focus on security cooperation.

Our country's Foreign Minister emphasized that economy and security should become priority topics for the CIS.

“Our organization consists of independent states. This is inviolable and no one has ever questioned it, but at the same time our organization is a commonwealth. This is what has always allowed us to find compromises and build a common unifying agenda on a whole range of issues of development of our Commonwealth for the benefit of our countries and peoples. A constructive agenda, an agenda that is linked to economic development, to the realization of a whole range of social and humanitarian problems and, of course, to security issues, about which we have also discussed in great detail today.”
