First flight of new Turkish air carrier lands in Minsk

Minsk National Airport has received the first airliner from Istanbul of a new Turkish carrier Southwind Airlines, BELTA reports.

The new partner of the main air harbor of Belarus became the hundredth air carrier operating flights from Istanbul International Airport. During the meeting of the first flight, Deputy Director General of Minsk National Airport Nikita Seredich noted that together with the new Turkish partners everything has been done to make it comfortable for passengers to travel between Minsk and Istanbul. He also emphasized that mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkish colleagues will continue and soon the number of Southwind Airlines flights to Minsk will increase. Representatives of the carrier noted that they would try to facilitate access of Belarusian tourists and businessmen to a wide network of destinations from the Istanbul airport.

For this airline, the capital of Belarus is the first international destination from Istanbul. The flight duration is about 3 hours and 45 minutes.
