BSU starts producing world’s first hydrogel medication for treating patients with brain oncology

At BSU, they began producing the world's first hydro-gel preparation for treating patients with brain oncology. Temodex is administered to the patient right during the operation to remove the malignant tumor. The substance remains inside and works long after the intervention. It removes the adjacent micro tumors. Until now, only American scientists have had such developments. The price for one package is 18 thousand dollars. Our Temodex is in no way inferior in quality, but costs 40 times cheaper.

The antitumor drug has just recently arrived in Belarusian clinics, but today foreign doctors literally “stand in line” to purchase the unique drug. Belarusian scientists are already working on similar drugs for the treatment of other types of oncology.
