President Alexander Lukashenko addressed greetings to the participants of the forum. 35 countries, including delegations from Australia, Italy, Japan and Spain, are represented at the congress. The anniversary congress is taking place in the capital of Belarus as a sign of acknowledging the achievements of Belarus in the sphere of cultural unity of the brotherly nations.
The scientific forum will continue in the Minsk State Linguistic University. Discussions on language integration, the role of historical personalities in the development of the Slavonic culture and the problems of Slavonic studies will take place within 6 days. Apart from reports and round table discussions, the program of the congress includes the exhibition of Slavonic studies literature. The editions brought by the guests will remain in Belarus after the 15th international congress.
