By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 16 of January 12, 2024, the rates of import customs duties in respect of certain types of goods have been temporarily set, writes BELTA with reference to the National Legal Internet Portal.
In particular, it concerns such items as shampoo, hair products and dental products. The list with exceptions is published on the legal portal. The rate of import duty for them will amount to 35% of the customs value.
As it is specified, the rates of import customs duties, established by the decree, apply to goods produced in the United States, Canada, the Australian Union, New Zealand and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as if their origin is unknown or not confirmed.
The rates of import duties on certain types of goods are set until June 30, 2024 inclusive.
The document enters into force 30 days after its official publication.
