3 июня 2014

This has been announced today by First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus Iya Malkina during a TV link-up that connected the three capitals - Astana, Minsk and Moscow. The main objective of this unusual communication was to discuss joint environmental projects of the EurAsEC countries. The Union Cleaning campaign is one of them. It will be held in Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia on June 5 for the first time. Environmentalists, inspection experts, forestry, housing and communal services workers will be cleaning waste landfills, forests and ponds. The campaign will also involve employees of schools, theaters, museums and large industrial enterprises.

Currently, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia are implementing several dozens of joint environmental projects aimed at increasing bison population, preserving the Dvina, Dnieper and the Urals ecosystems and using natural resources in a rational way.
